In a world where time is of the essence, this innovative approach saves countless hours and adds a touch of tech-savvy brilliance to your HR toolkit. Who would have thought Excel and Batch scripting could be the dynamic duo HR professionals needed?

Problem

Picture this: your company is on the verge of a massive recruitment drive with 1000 registrants flooding in. The thought of manually generating CVs for each candidate sounds like a daunting task, right? Well, buckle up because we’ve got a game-changing solution that involves a dash of magic and a sprinkle of technology.

What should you do? Generating one by one?

It isn’t effective at all, is it? What were the solutions?

Nah, there were easy solutions, and the solution is Excel combined with Batch script. Can you believe it?

Solutions

First, Open your Excel sheet and import all the text files of registrants into the workbook.

Now for the magic touch! In cell C2, conjure the simple command below.

"MD CV_"&A2

With a swift wave of your virtual wand, generate these commands for all thousand names. Watch as Excel effortlessly transforms this command for each registrant.

Save the output commands from C2 to C1001 into a notepad file, giving birth to a powerful .bat script.

It’s showtime! Click on the .bat file and behold the magic as CVs are conjured up for each candidate seamlessly.

Closing Statements

In this short article, again, I am telling you about the usefulness of batch programming. This article idea comes from the Instagram account filosofiexcel; I would like to generate your videos into the story if they’re valuable and exciting. Thanks for reading.
